North Carolina Licenses & Certifications
NC Irrigation Contractors’ License
The North Carolina Irrigation Contractors’ Licensing Board was established by statute on January 1, 2009. The Board oversees the licensing of Irrigation Contractors in North Carolina. The purpose of licensure is to protect the public health, safety and welfare and to promote the efficient use of water.
NC Pesticide License & Certification
To protect the public health, safety and welfare, and to promote continued environmental quality by minimizing and managing risks associated with the legal use of pesticides through administration and enforcement of the N.C. Pesticide Law of 1971 and pursuant regulations adopted by the N.C. Pesticide Board.
NC Landscape Architects License
The North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects was established by legislation in 1969 to register professional landscape architects. The purpose of registration is the protection of public health, safety and welfare. To obtain a license to practice, the Board requires education, experience and successful completion of a national examination.
NC Landscape Contractor License
The North Carolina Landscape Contractors’ License was created by the North Carolina General Assembly by statute on August 1, 2014. The Landscape Contractors Law, Chapter 89D, is a statute which regulates landscape contracting in North Carolina; thereby safeguarding life, health, and property and maintaining a high professional standard for the landscape industry.

Certifications
ISA Certified Arborist
The ISA Certified Arborist program tests and certifies an individual’s knowledge in the field of arboriculture. It certifies that an individual has attained a generally accepted level of knowledge in such areas as tree biology, diagnosis, maintenance practices, safety, and other subject and practice areas within the tree care profession as identified through periodic job task analyses.
Landscape Industry Certified
Landscape Industry Certified is the international distinction awarded by the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP). Landscape Industry Certified is a broad but powerful distinction for individuals who have taken their experience, skills and desire for excellence to the next level by studying, testing and becoming certified. They stay on top of their game by maintaining their certification every two years through recertification.
Certified Forester
SAF certification as a Certified Forester is the gold standard for forest management professionals, recognized by the forest industry, government officials, and landowners. Certified Foresters commit to high standards of practice and continuing education in forest management, demanding the highest level of ethics and professional principles.

South Carolina Pesticide License
The SC Department of Pesticide Regulation works to protect health, property, and our environment by promoting the safe and proper use of pesticides. Our programs include applicator licensing and education, pesticide container recycling, integrated pest management in schools, endangered species protection, and the worker protection program. Pesticide Regulation is the enforcement and investigative authority in South Carolina for pesticide use, alleged pesticide misuse, substandard termite treatments, and the South Carolina Wood Infestation Report.
Florida Pesticide License
Pesticide applicator certification and licensing authorizes the purchase and use of restricted use pesticides in agricultural and related sites. Three types of pesticide applicator licenses are available from the FDACS Bureau of Licensing and Enforcement, Pesticide Certification Section – private, public, and commercial. Licensed applicators must become recertified to renew their pesticide applicator licenses. To become recertified, individuals must either retake the certification exams or earn the required number of Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Licensees who renew their licenses with CEUs must earn 4 Core CEUs plus the number of category CEUs required.
